Biography

I have been working in the Games Industry since 1992. I have worked on a variety of game platforms and game genres in that time. I began my career working at Rare in Twycross, Warwickshire working to develop games for Nintendo. My first game that I worked on was "Donkey Kong Country", a platform game published on the 'SNES' (Super Nintendo Entertainment System). Later on I was very fortunate to be a member of the team to have worked on "Goldeneye", a FPS (First Person Shooter) on the N64 console.

In developing my career further I went on to work with Core Design Limited in Derby, working on titles on "Fighting Force 2", for the PS (Playstation) and finally, working on "Tomb Raider – Angel of Darkness", on the Playstation 2 and PC. My international experience includes nearly 2 years working in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada, developing games titles like "FIFA 12", for EA (Electronic Arts) on the Nintendo Wii. I also helped develop a Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect title called "NBA Baller Beats", for Majesco. I have also worked on portable platforms from the DS and DSi. I followed my further education experience from College Diploma to MA/PgD from Bournemouth University (NCCA). Up to my teaching experience I was working as a Contract FX Artist for Ubisoft Reflection working on "Driver - San Francisco" for the Playstation 3 and Xbox.

My teaching career began in 2006 to 2008 working as a fractional Lecturer on the BA (Hons) in Game Design at Hull School of Art and Design, before moving to University Centre Doncaster to take up my current position.
